Humanitarian Aid

Frontera offers humanitarian assistance to migrants crossing the Sonora desert in Northern Mexico following Jesus' mandate: "For I was a_migrants_walkinghungry and you gave me something to eat. I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink. I was a stranger and you invited me in." In 2003, a record number of migrants, 40, died of deydration and hypothermia in Cochise County. At the same time, water bottles and tanks placed in the desert of Cochise County as a preventative measure, were vandalized. In early 2004, Agua Para La Vida was born and began placing water tanks on the Mexican side of the border. This effort was, and remains, a partnership between eight organizations including Healing Our Borders, C.R.R.E.D.A. #8, Grupo Beta and No More Deaths.

For more information on how you can assist Agua Para La Vida view the informational fact sheet here .
