October 29 to November 6, 2010 Participating in a short-term immersion trip is a wonderful way to gain a deeper understanding of the economic, political, and spiritual connections that we have across borders and to understand the impact we have through our ongoing support of local, regional, and global mission. Building personal relationships with people of different cultures is also a valuable part of our ongoing quest for personal and spiritual growth. It gives us a meaningful opportunity to see how God works through individuals and in communities working together to create positive change.

Group Plans March in Douglas |

A community-based grass roots organization is planning to hold a peace march and gathering in Douglas later this month to protest Arizona’s new immigration law.
The all-day event will take place May 15 at Customs Avenue, which is located along First Street and Pan American Avenue, said Del Cabarga, who is helping organize it.
